Joseph C. Alamilla
Founder and Lead Attorney
Joseph C. Alamilla was born in California and grew up in Davis County, Utah. He graduated from the S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2003 and began practicing law after being admitted to the Utah Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah. He started his legal career with a strong focus on criminal defense, family law, and business litigation. This early work quickly established him as a fierce advocate for his clients.
By 2005, Mr. Alamilla expanded his practice to include federal cases when he gained admission to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Throughout his career, he has managed complex litigation, including cases valued at up to $15 million. Known for his strategic approach and attention to detail, Mr. Alamilla is now expanding his practice into civil litigation and estate planning. These areas align with his meticulous nature and dedication to achieving favorable outcomes for his clients. As a Senior Partner at Tycksen and Shattuck LLC, he remains committed to upholding the highest standards of legal practice and continues to serve as a mentor and leader in his community.
Cristal E. Martinez
Legal Assistant
Cristal E. Martinez is a dedicated Legal Assistant currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at Salt Lake Community College. Originally from Auburn Hills, Michigan, Cristal moved to West Jordan, Utah, when she was eight years old. Her journey in the legal field began in February of 2023 when she joined the Law Offices of Joseph Alamilla. Cristal’s passion for justice and her commitment to supporting clients make her an invaluable member of the team.
Cristal’s favorite aspects of her role include getting to know clients and their stories, attending court, and learning the legal process firsthand. She takes pride in building strong relationships and ensuring that everyone who comes to the office feels welcomed and supported. As she continues her education and career, Cristal remains focused on making a meaningful impact in the legal community and the lives of those she assists.
Bella Jones
Legal Assistant
Bella Jones was born and raised in Sandy, Utah, where she developed an early interest in the legal field. She pursued her passion by attending the University of Utah, majoring in criminology and political science. This educational background laid the foundation for her career in law. In March of 2024, Bella joined the Law Offices of Joseph Alamilla as a Legal Assistant, eager to apply her academic knowledge in a practical setting.
Bella finds the most rewarding aspect of her role to be the continuous learning and professional development it offers. Each day presents new challenges and opportunities to expand her understanding of the legal process, which she approaches with enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence. Bella values the growth that comes from working closely with experienced attorneys and is dedicated to honing her skills to better serve clients.
